Effective Date: March 2, 2026
BioLog Team ("we", "our", "us") operates the BioLog mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we store and use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using BioLog, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Personal Information: name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, blood type, body type, allergies, chronic conditions, emergency contact name and phone number, and profile photo.
Health Records: lab analysis results (images and extracted text), health scores, AI-generated analysis reports, journal entries (heart rate, blood pressure, glucose, weight, sleep, steps), medications (name, dosage, frequency, reminder times), symptom notes (text, tags, severity), weight history, and health documents (PDFs, images).
Authentication Data: PIN code (stored as a SHA256 hash, not in plain text), biometric authentication preference, Apple Sign In user identifier, Google Sign In user identifier and display name.
App Preferences: auto-lock interval and auto AI analysis setting.
All personal and health data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers or cloud databases. Your data never leaves your device except as described in the Third-Party Services section.
Authentication credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain with hardware-level encryption. Health documents are protected with file-level encryption, meaning they are encrypted whenever your device is locked. App preferences are stored locally on your device.
Google Gemini AI: When you use the AI analysis feature, the following data may be sent to Google's Generative Language API: your age, gender, and chronic conditions (for clinical context); text extracted from lab results (with personal identifiers automatically removed, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, passport numbers, insurance policy numbers, addresses, and dates of birth); and document images. Please note that while text undergoes automatic personal data removal, document images may contain visible patient information. Google processes this data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Data is sent only when you explicitly initiate an analysis or have auto-analysis enabled in Settings.
Apple Sign In: If you sign in with Apple, we receive a user identifier, relay email address, and your name (on first login only). This is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Google Sign In: If you sign in with Google, we receive a user identifier, email address, and display name. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
We do not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or any other third-party tracking tools.
BioLog supports three authentication methods: Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or local-only access using PIN and biometrics. When using local-only mode, no data is shared with any external authentication service. Credentials from Sign In providers are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you use the App. You may delete individual records at any time within the App. You may delete all data at once via Settings > Data > Delete All Data. You may delete your account and all associated data via Settings > Account > Delete Account. When data is deleted, it is permanently removed from the device. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
We implement the following security measures to protect your data: PIN code protection with secure hashing; biometric authentication support (Face ID / Touch ID); configurable auto-lock; iOS Keychain encryption for sensitive credentials; file-level encryption for health documents; automatic removal of personal identifiers from text before AI processing; and rate limiting on AI service requests.
BioLog is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us at support@biolog.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the App with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
